Acceptable use & compliance

What we do
What we will not do
1. Scope of this policy
This policy sets out what FollowerX will and will not do on your behalf, and what you agree not to ask us to do. It applies to every client, every service line and every platform we work on, and forms part of our terms of service.
Where this policy conflicts with an instruction from a client, this policy prevails. Our staff are instructed to decline requests that breach it, and declining costs you nothing — reserved tokens are released immediately.
2. Platform terms come first
Every method we use must be permitted by the terms of service, community guidelines and developer policies of the platform in question. We follow Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Twitch and Pinterest policies as they apply to marketing agencies acting on behalf of a brand.
We do not use unofficial APIs, scraping tools, automation software, mass-action scripts or any service that simulates human activity. Every interaction on your account is performed manually.
We are an independent provider and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any platform. All platform names and trademarks are the property of their owners and are used only to describe where we work.
3. Prohibited activity
We will not supply, procure or facilitate followers, likes, views, subscribers, shares, watch time or any other metric obtained other than from genuine audience behaviour.
We will not create, operate or coordinate fake, duplicate, impersonating or bulk-registered accounts, and we will not participate in engagement pods, follow-back schemes or comment rings.
We will not manipulate reviews, ratings, polls, awards, petitions or platform rankings, and we will not run astroturfing campaigns presented as independent opinion.
We will not publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes anyone’s intellectual property or privacy.
We will not knowingly work for clients whose primary business is illegal in the markets they operate in, or whose products fall within categories our payment providers prohibit.
4. Advertising and claims standards
All marketing we produce must be truthful, substantiated and not misleading. Performance figures used in your content must be evidenced, and we will ask for that evidence before publishing.
Every paid partnership, gifted product or incentivised post carries a clear and prominent disclosure in the format required by the relevant market — for example FTC-compliant disclosure in the United States, CAP Code compliant labelling in the United Kingdom, and platform-native paid-partnership tags where available.
We do not make guarantees about results in our own advertising and we will not write guarantees into yours. Testimonials we publish are genuine, from identifiable clients, used with permission, and accompanied by a statement that individual results vary.
For regulated categories — health, finance, alcohol, supplements and similar — we work to an agreed claim library reviewed by your compliance team before any asset is produced.
5. Payment provider compliance
Our business model is the sale of prepaid units of professional marketing services. Tokens are a unit of account for our own services only. They are not a stored-value instrument, not transferable to third parties, not redeemable for cash except under our refund policy, and confer no rights other than the right to receive services from us.
We maintain full order records, published pricing, published delivery timescales, a published refund policy and accessible customer support, in line with the acceptable use requirements of Stripe.
Prohibited and restricted business categories under our providers’ policies are refused at onboarding. Where a client’s activity later falls into a restricted category, we will notify them and wind down the engagement in an orderly way.
6. Data and account access
We request the minimum access required to perform the services, always through the platforms’ own business, partner or collaborator tools where those exist. We do not ask for and will not accept personal login credentials.
Access is granted per account rather than per team, protected by mandatory two-factor authentication, logged, and reviewed quarterly. You may revoke access at any moment without notice.
Personal data is handled as described in our privacy notice, including our obligations as a processor where we handle personal data belonging to your audience.
7. Reporting a concern
If you believe any work carried out under our name breaches this policy, a platform’s terms or advertising law, email trepteventures@proton.me. We investigate every report, respond within five business days, and will publish a correction where one is warranted.
Breach of this policy by a client is grounds for immediate suspension or termination under clause 10 of our terms of service.
